Shreya graduated with a Bachelors in physiotherapy from India in 2015. Due to an inclination towards yoga since childhood as well as pursuing her career in physical therapy and cancer research, she uses a holistic approach towards health. Cancer related fatigue is a common symptom amongst individuals diagnosed with cancer and contrary to the belief that rest will help it only worsens the fatigue. Therefore, during her master’s at University of Alberta, she has conducted 8-week therapeutic yoga classes and resistance exercise sessions for varied cancer population such as lung, head and neck, prostate, colon and breast to help manage cancer related fatigue.
She graduated with a Masters in Rehabilitation Sciences in 2018. Shreya is a strong believer that different aspects of health influence each other therefore she uses her tools from physical therapy as well as yoga to make an individualized plan for her patients.
