Sport Injuries

Sports injuries can be alleviated through the use of physiotherapy.

SPORT INJURY

The first step is to identity the type of injury the individual is suffering from and then form a personified plan of treatment and recovery.

Initially, treatment is focused on reduction of pain and inflammation through the use of several techniques including hot and cold therapy. Later certain exercises are used to bring back full range of motion that was lost or inhibited by the injury. These exercises are based on flexibility, strength and conditioning modules; and, thus emphasis is not placed on movement but also in granting strength back to the patient.
